DESCRIPTION:From February 14 to 16\, Jahorina will host Sandi Murovec\, one of the most renowned experts in the field of skiing. During these three days\, all interested participants will have the opportunity to attend the presentation of his book\, as well as a practical demonstration of the innovative UPS method on snow. \nThis event is intended for ski clubs\, ski schools from the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina\, faculties of sports and physical education\, as well as all skiers who wish to improve their knowledge and skiing technique. \nThe presentation of the book “BITI MAJSTORSKI” will be held on Friday\, February 14\, 2025\, at 16:30 at Hotel Vučko. \nOn Saturday\, February 15\, 2025\, a promotion of the UPS method will take place at the Poljice training area and blue slopes at the following times: \n\nPoljice training area: 09:00 – 11:00\nBlue slopes: 14:00 – 16:00 (meeting point: Poljice gondola)\n\nThis innovative approach to learning skiing is applied to both professional and recreational skiers and introduces new techniques for improving skiing skills. \nOn Sunday\, February 16\, 2025\, a presentation of the UPS method will be held on the blue and red slopes (meeting point: Poljice gondola base) according to the following schedule: \n\nBlue slopes: 09:00 – 11:00\nRed slopes: 14:00 – 16:00\n\nAdditionally\, apart from the practical workshops\, on Sunday\, February 16\, 2025\, at 17:00 at Hotel Vučko\, there will be a screening of the film “7 TO HEAVEN\,” which showcases Sandi Murovec’s work with Tina Maze. \nParticipation in all activities is free and open to all interested skiers. \nWe invite all skiing enthusiasts to join us and don’xt miss this unique opportunity for learning and improvement. \n  \n  \nSandi Murovec – Biography \nSandi Murovec\, also known as Muri\, is a distinguished Slovenian expert in the field of skiing\, recognized for his innovative approach to ski training at all levels. \nHe was born in 1966 in Kranj\, Slovenia\, and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana. As a demo skier\, author\, and film director\, he has made a significant contribution to the development of skiing techniques. \nMurovec developed the UPS (Učenje Pravilnega Smučanja – Learning Proper Skiing) method\, which focuses on correct technique and efficient ski learning. \nThroughout his career\, he has worked with many skiers\, including top competitors. His collaboration with Tina Maze\, one of the most successful Slovenian skiers\, is particularly notable. Through this partnership\, Murovec contributed to her outstanding results. \nIn addition to coaching\, Murovec is the author of the book “(Na kanto!)” and the director of the documentary film “7 to Heaven\,” where he presents his methodology and reveals technical details of elite skiing\, especially through his work with Tina Maze. \nHe is also actively involved in the promotion of skiing through seminars\, workshops\, and presentations\, sharing his knowledge with the broader skiing community. \nHis contributions to the development of skiing techniques and education have been recognized both in Slovenia and internationally\, making him one of the leading authorities in this field. \nHe is currently the director of the UPS Design Corner and lives in Kranj\, Slovenia.
