The trails of Jahorina Ultra Trail, which Novak Djokovic himself ran on during his recent visit to Jahorina, will be available to participants on Saturday, July 25. The Ultra and Maxi races start on the first day of the weekend at 6:00 AM, while the Midi and Mini races start a little later, at 8:00 AM.
The start and finish of all races is in front of Vucko Hotel, and all routes have refreshment stations with service, civil protection teams on duty and ambulance in case of emergency. Safety comes first and the entire event has been adapted to the conditions and measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
What characterizes Jahorina Ultra Trail are the volunteers, who, with their selfless work and commitment, contribute to this race still holding the rating of the best in BiH. Applications for volunteers are ongoing at www.jahorinatrail.com.
The prize fund for the best and fastest this year is BAM 5,000 , while the sponsors of the competition took care of the other prizes. A partnership has been established with the Red Bull 400 Igman, but partnerships have been renewed with races that are members of the world trail tour, such as Cappadocia, 100 miles of Istria and Ultra trail Vipava Valley, so some of the winners of Jahorina Ultra trail will receive free registration for these trails.
The biggest novelty of this year’s edition of JUT 2020 is the presence of one of the world’s most famous runners, Jovica Spajić, who will be present at the competition, hang out with participants, answer questions and present his rich Trail experience through lectures.
Novak Djokovic, the best tennis player in the world, visited Jahorina a few days ago. As part of his visit, he visited part of the trails of this year’s Jahorina Ultra trail and was convinced of their attractiveness, he even ran and for a moment experienced what it is like to be a runner on the Olympic tracks.
