New artificial snowmaking system activated on Jahorina – Production of artificial snow has started

Olympic Center Jahorina started with the production of artificial snow necessary for snowing the ski slopes on Jahorina, the Poljice track is currently underway. The artificial snowmaking system has been put into operation and it will produce artificial snow continuously until the official start of the winter season in accordance with weather conditions. On the occasion of the official opening of the new  system, the Olympic Center Jahorina will organize the concert of the biggest Balkan star, Ceca Ražnatović, on December 1^st.

The artificial snow system is made of water accumulation from which the necessary water for the production of artificial snow is pumped  and the pipeline system  through which, under high pressure of water and air, they are delivered to the equipment for production of artificial snow – snow cannons and launchers. From this year on OC Jahorina is equipped with  88  Tehnoalpin launchers and 25 most modern Tehnoalpin snow cannons  whose products are represented in 70% of ski resorts in the world. The artificial snowmaking system simulates a natural phenomenon in which water vapor is raised into the atmosphere, where at low temperature the water vapor particles crystallize and thus create natural snow.
