replica orologiFrom October 25th to 28th, Jahorina Olympic Center hosted a photo workshop “Valeri Jahorine”, which was held for the first time at the initiative of photographer and designer Marija Nišić, and with the unselfish support of Professor Đorđe Odanović. The workshop gathered eighteen photographers, as well as photo lovers, from the territory of the former Yugoslavia, and had the aim to give a creative impulse to the various activities that OC Jahorina carried out, but also to sensitize the wider social community for openness towards preserving the cultural heritage in terms of photographic material, and hence creates preconditions for fostering photographic literacy and photography art in the cultural and tourist potential of Jahorina and the region.

The colony included Aleksandar Angelovski, Katarina Ninkov, Emanuel Arčić, Andrea Čaldarević, Katarina Spasić, Aleksandra Gegović, Ana Nišić, Nenad Radović, Andrea Tanaskovič, Boris Usanović, Uroš Banješević, Snežana Jankovic, Igor Lulić, Gordana Kaljalović Odanović, Veselin Sekulović and Jelena Savić.

The artworks on Jahorina included various aspects of photography as a document, communicative means, methods for visual perception research and cultural conventions, and will be presented at an exhibition in Belgrade and East Sarajevo, and then stored in the collection of the Olympic Center Jahorina, the host of the colony.

The Olympic Center Jahorina expressed the assurance that the workshop “Valeri Jahorine” will become traditional and will be held every year, and that the public will recognize the efforts invested in developing successful projects in the field of culture, art, events, healthy lifestyles, as well as in promotion of the potential of the tourist pearl of the Republic of Srpska.
