replica orologiAt the press conference held today on Jahorina, we announced the sixth edition of the large international competition Jahorina Ultra Trail, which will be held this year, for the first time, organized by Olympic Center Jahorina. Jahorina Ultra Trail 2020 is designed as a two-day competition scheduled for July 25 and 26, when all participants will be able to choose one of 44 trails ranging from 14 km to 88 km.
On that occasion, the director of the Jahorina Olympic Center, Dejan Ljevanić, said: “I am very pleased to inform you that the Jahorina Olympic Center has taken over the organization of the international Jahorina Ultra Trail race and a newer, improved concept is expected from this year.” We still have 4 races, with ITRA points, but the routes have been changed, and we already have about 120 registered competitors. Applications are underway for both race participants and volunteers who, through their selfless work, contribute to the success of the Jahorina Ultra trail. I had the opportunity to participate in last year’s edition of Jahorina Ultra trail and I would recommend all fans of this concept to apply because this is a unique opportunity to experience the full beauty of Jahorina and go through breathtaking areas. We have also renewed the partnership with the races that are members of the world trail tour, Cappadocia and 100 miles of Istria, so some of the winners of Jahorina Ultra Trail will receive a free registration fee for these races. ”
This year’s Jahorina Ultra Trail is, as before, composed of Mini, Midi, Maxi and Ultra routes. The Mini Trail is a 14 km long track, ideal for fast runners but also for beginners in trail running. From this year, the 23 km long Midi Trail is a real treat for lovers of running in nature who want a challenge after which they will be rested for going out, hanging out in the mountains and other activities. Its finishers get 1 ITRA point. The 49 km long Maxi (2 ITRA points) is for fast ultras or those who will try the ultra format for the first time because there are not many climbs and it is not too heavy. Ultra (4 ITRA points) is for experienced trail runners and with a length of 88 km it offers a sequence of different units due to which there is no monotony on the track and which further intensify the experience of the race.
Race ambassador Jovica Spajić, one of the world’s most famous trail runners, also addressed the conference via a video link, expressing regret that he was not able to attend it. He invited everyone to apply for this year’s edition of the Jahorina Ultra Trail and promised inspiring socializing and exchange of experiences with all JUT participants. “It is a great honor and privilege for me to be in a way the ambassador of the Jahorina Ultra Trail and to bring the story of Jahorina through the entire region and the whole world. It will be a great pleasure for me to share my experiences in a beautiful interaction at the end of July and to enjoy those days on the mountain together, “added Spajić.
Nedeljko Elek, President of the Supervisory Board of the Jahorina Olympic Center, thanked the media for their support and all those who have already registered and given their trust to the Jahorina Olympic Center and added: “We have done a lot in the past three years and I am especially proud of the fact they have also become the owners of the largest trail competition in our country, we will do our best to justify the trust and make this year’s Jahorina Ultra Trail successful for all competitors and for us organizers.
The Jahorina Olympic Center once again invited all runners to register for the race on time and thanked the general media sponsors of the competition: TV N1, RSG Radio, Antena Sarajevo as well as Glas Srpske and Nezavisne Novine.
